free wifi, at last (i mean truly free)
i've been going to cafes and such to get my wifi here in Seattle. that's sort of free: you need to buy something (ok, you can just go in and sit, but i'm not cool with that). not only is that costly, the music is almost always way too loud and there is usually someone who can't talk in normal tones. all in all, not the best working conditions (although early this morning at the Cafe on the Ave was nice).
but the library is free. the wifi is good (seems to be some issues with sending email from Mail, but i'll fix that eventually). there are plugs. the seat is comfy. and i don't have to buy anything. in fact, i'll be taking some cd's with me! Thelonius, Woody and some other goodies.
i love libraries! and to have a good place to work -- quiet, convenient, free -- just makes it even better.
this will work fine til i move back to Portland and get permanently connected again.
